Supernatural, weird, horror
I found that writing ghost stories is not as easy as writing an inspirational or happy story.
It takes a lot of skills and talent to do that, to make ppl who read it ,enter into a dimension of horror to feel the kick.. ha🤣🤣🤣
Timing is also important. If a ghost stories were told on the day of Halloween ,or Cheng Meng (old souls day for the Chinese), ghost festivals, or when the clock strikes at 12 midnight, it escalated or increase the kick of fear.
I the 70's,
I remember in our training days in the 70's, as late teens, we were staying at Nurses home mainly for student nurses during their training years. Our 1st year, we were sharing rooms. 6 in a big room. The. 2bs yrs we were moved to room shared by 2. Then on our 3rd year of training, we were moved to the single room and this is the tune we C nebjoy the room all to ourselves till we train our. when suddenly 6 of us wanted to play the "daring" trick on the spirit of the coin. In the chart there were alphabet A to Z, then letter 'home" on the charts. One of us put a 20cents coin inside the circle of home and press her index finger on it and mumbled, "spirt of the coin, spirit of the coin, I call upon you to bring the spirit of the late" mary" to ask how is she now. Mary died in an accident during her term holiday when she went home to help her parents in the farm when an accident occurred that cost her life. After that strange things happened at the hostel where she lived during her training days before the accident. Her roommate could hear her foot steps or tapping on the wardrobe wall inside their room which she used to play with her colleagues. The ward robe was built in away that the other room was separated by the wooden wall which was converted into a cupboard. Before the accident, she will mischievously knocked 3 times at the cupboard wall and her colleagues in the other room will return the knock. On the day when she died of an accident, her room was vacated for a few days. But her colleagues who stayed on the other room said they can hear the knocking of the wooden wall inside the wardrobe as usual even no one was in that room. They colleagues were too scared to stay in the room that they slept with their friends in other room.
The matron of the hostel called the priest over to say a prayer and spray with holy water but in no vain. Later invited the taoist to excoxise the room. Still in vain. Until on day the housekeeper found her pair of shoes of top of her wardrobe. Since then, the knocking stopped.
The spirt of coin says she is undergoing a test. One of the test is crossing a bridge as a mandatory trial she has to go through .
All these stupid things such as the coins told us, we were not sure if it's really her. Then we asked about if we will passed our final exam, it says there is no failure in the group. True enough we all passed.
Those who dont believe will think its just a co incidence.
I have read, heard many ghost stories and also have encountered a few incidence which until now, I have doubts which is still unexplained for no reason, so can also think it's just a coincidence.
Hospitals are the best place to tell ghost stories.
There were reports on staff and patients experiencing paranormal phenomena in the hospitals.
I have encountered one myself . I never believe ghost myself but when it happened, it was so terrifying.
The 1st horror movie I watched in the cinema was Count Dracula starred by Christopher Lee in the 70's. I was about 12 to 13yrs old at that time. The movie frightened the life out of me until for weeks I made sure I slept with my blanket securely covered over my head or neck. 😂 I can laugh now when thinking back of how silly I was but at that time, it was not silly to me.
It was not even midnight or ghost festivals day yet the stories and coincidentally Sue appeared from the back door stairs sticking her head to the window calling for us to open the door, frightened the hell put of us.
So u can imagine if it's Halloween, old souls day or graveyard day, what the impact or effect it has for us all. 🤣.
1981, I was transferred to a district hospital as a newly graduated registered nurse where we were addressed as "staff nurse".
Accommodation were provided and our housing was just at the foot of the hospital.
As newly trained staff, we were assigned 2
Honestly the only place that I don't experience any weird, eerie phenomenal events was in Saudi Arabia. Maybe because the loud speaker in the hospital was so loud during prayer time that whatever phenomenal feelings that was present also quickly disappeared 🤣
